The Department of Neurology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant Professor of Associate Professor. Responsibilities include care of neuro-oncology patients, interdisciplinary collaboration, and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Activities will include leadership roles, promoting clinical and translational research and integration and clinical care across the Northwestern Medicine network. The successful candidate should be highly motivated with an established record in clinical research. The Neuro-Oncology program is part of the Lou and Jean Malnati Brain Tumor Institute (MBTI) of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. It encompasses researchers from numerous disciplines and backgrounds and is devoted to excellence in patient care paired with cutting edge basic, translational and clinical research. The MBTI is a nationally recognized leader in the fight against brain and spinal cord tumors, offering patients the most advanced clinical trial and treatment options available. Drawing upon the world-class resources of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, a National Cancer Institute (NCI) - designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, the research and medical expertise of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, and the preeminent healthcare facilities of Northwestern Memorial Hospital allows the NBTI to provide patients with the best possible care. Bioinformatics Postdoc Position : Apply The Division of Neuro-Oncology is one of ten divisions in the Department of Neurology. It is comprised of six clinical faculty and two research faculty. The clinical operations are supported by numerous nurses and advanced practice providers with both inpatient and outpatient activities at three hospital sites. Qualified candidates will 1) possess an MD or MD, PhD degree; 2) be board certified or eligible in Neurology; 3) have completed a fellowship in neuro-oncology; and 4) hold/be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois. Preference will be given to candidates with clinical research experience. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
