Job Description For Pharmacologist Research Scientist Job
As an In Vivo Pharmacologist, you will work independently and collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary setting to execute experiments in preclinical models, analyze data, write study reports and give oral presentations to support drug discovery, while broadening your knowledge in the field.
What you will be doing (key responsibilities) For Pharmacologist Research Scientist Job
• Assist in the design, execution, analysis, and documentation of in vivo experiments• Plan and perform pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) studies
• Perform biochemical and molecular biological analyses on samples
• Assist in data analysis and interpretation
• Present results in lab and department meetings
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $66,000 and $126,000/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum Requirements For Pharmacologist Research Scientist Job
What you will bring to the role:• BS or MS degree in pharmacology, biochemistry, cell biology, or other life science area
• Relevant hands-on laboratory experience (academia or industry)
• Experience with handling, dosing, and phenotyping (including blood and tissue collection) in rodents
• Hands-on experience with biochemical assays (e.g., RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA) is highly desirable
• Drug discovery experience and experience in PK/PD experimental design and execution is desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and aptitude for learning, with the ability to quickly grasp new techniques and apply them to your work
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Basic knowledge of statistics and experience with common statistical software for biomedical research desirable
• Strong written, oral and record keeping skills
